Re: Two big issues recently revealed
I'm baffled that the regulations haven't been written yet. . . I feel rather foolish for assuming those regulations were already in place. This is how I feel about it too. Although the coronavirus is a recent development, we're waiting for the UK Space Agency and the UK Government to create the reg...

Re: Estimated 250 jobs connected to spaceport
Construction for Space Hub Sutherland should boost the local economy as well. Those construction workers have to stay somewhere, shop somewhere, and eat somewhere after all. It will breathe life into a section of the country that could use it.

Re: Viewing area, visitor centre?
I know I read somewhere that those in charge of the Glasgow Prestwick Spaceport will create a parking spot so the public can observe what's going on. It was pretty vague wording about the UK spaceport. It sounded like they're also planning to block some roads during construction of the spaceport, I ...

Re: Goonhilly Earth Station
Ivy is correct; it wasn't long ago that the Goonhilly Earth Station was a popular spot to visit. In recent years they've shifted focus towards building their business up and gaining contracts many of which are connected to the spaceports. Hopefully the visitor centre will open again down the road. T...

Two big issues recently revealed
I don't live very far from the location of Spaceport Cornwall and the community is a buzz about two major problems that were recently revealed. The coronavirus is most certainly going to cause a delay, so the hope that Spaceport Cornwall will be ready in September 2021 should be thrown out the windo...

Re: Greener launch
I just read an article about this the other day. The fuel was developed by Skyrora and I believe they call it Ecosene. Space Hub Sutherland might be the first to use it in this capacity, so the spaceport will make history in more than one way.

Re: Homeschooling
Thanks for the tip, Ivy. Yes, we live fairly close to Spaceport Cornwall and we're hoping to view a launch in the future. I believe the spaceport is aiming for a launch in 2021 and my children are excited about it and the changes that are coming to the community. It seemed like a good topic for buil...

Re: Space Hub Sutherland - Newsletter Feed!
Nicely done! I wouldn't have known about the newsletter otherwise as Brexit and COVID-19 take up so much of the news. It looks like Space Hub Sutherland has stepped up their web presence.

Re: Melissa Thorpe on panel about COVID-19
Interesting. If I have the time I'll check it out. Do you know who the intended audience is? I wonder if they're geared towards other players in the space industry or if they're meant for the general public. Just wondering how technical it will get (and whether I will be able to understand it).

Homeschooling
I'll be honest, I'm not the best at educating the children, but COVID-19 has put us all in a rough spot. Thankfully my two girls really enjoy checking on the development of UK's spaceports, particularly Spaceport Cornwall. Their official website has loads of information about spending, building, car...
